WaMu (NYSE:WM), one of the nation's leading consumer and small business banks, has entered into an agreement with Cardtronics, LP to brand more than 425 ATMs in CVS/pharmacy stores in California and Arizona.
The branded ATMs, which will feature the WaMu logo, transaction screens and printed receipts, will provide surcharge-free cash withdrawals, balance inquires and account transfers to all WaMu customers with either an ATM Card or Debit MasterCard. The branded ATMs are owned and operated by Cardtronics.
"We're continuously working to give our customers a good value and make banking simpler," said James Corcoran, president, Retail Banking. "By teaming up with Cardtronics and CVS/pharmacy, we're able to make it more convenient for our customers to access their money."
WaMu has more than 750 branches in California and Arizona. This expansion through CVS/pharmacy brings the total number of surcharge-free ATMs to 2,090, including 1,932 in California and 158 in Arizona.
