Trade Bank PLC, a prominent Nigerian bank with a network of over 30 Branches, recently concluded its implementation of Equinox Banking System from Neptune Software Plc, UK.

In making the above announcement, the Chief Executive of Trade Bank Plc, Mr. Samuel Kolawole said, "We are absolutely delighted with the successful implementation of Equinox. Its rich functionality and user-friendliness have significantly improved our operations."

Neil Beckley, the Deputy Managing Director of Neptune Software exclaimed, "We are extremely pleased to welcome Trade Bank into the Equinox User family. Trade Bank Plc has taken a well thought out and strategic decision in investing in Equinox technology in order to reposition itself at the leading edge of technology for increased competitiveness. I greatly commend the diligence of the bank's management and staff throughout the implementation."

According to Mr. Soji Obayomi, the Head of IT Operations, "We worked long days and several weekends, but it's great when systems go live on schedule and within budget. We were able to achieve this because, Neptune and its local partner CSA worked tirelessly to ensure success of the project."

Equinox banking system is a fully integrated voice and Web enabled banking application covering Retail banking, Treasury and Trade Finance operations. It supports several external delivery channels such as ATM, Telephone/Internet Banking and Mobile Banking using (SMS/WAP). It has an enriched EIS with full support for forecasting and modelling.

Equinox key advantages lie on the regional processing functionality, which has indeed become a 'needs' requirement for high transaction volume banks and its Offline processing functionality that allows bank branches to run offline independently up to one month (branch empowerment). A typical offline feature does not support account opening and limits processing to only 3 days, but the Equinox offline processing allows full branch functionality such as; account opening, transactions posting, signature verification, etc.
