Fujitsu Software Corporation, a leading provider of application integration and middleware software, today announced that Target, a provider of software solutions to the financial services market, has chosen its Interstage® Business Process Manager to enhance the workflow and business process capabilities of its product portfolio.

After a competitive evaluation, Target selected Fujitsu Software's Business Process Management (BPM) software to help achieve its goal of providing its customers with increased productivity and improved customer service capabilities through the transformation of business processes.

Target has over 25 years of experience in providing software to a blue-chip client base within the financial services market, including Barclays, Firstplus, Egg and HFC. During a recent evaluation and increased investment in its product strategy, Target recognised a need for advanced business process capabilities to provide its customers with the ability to create, control, change and measure processes with minimal effort.

Target's product and marketing director, Rob Evans said, "Flexibility and ease of use were two deciding factors in choosing Fujitsu Software's Interstage Business Process Manager. Its intuitive capabilities and immediate usability meant minimal resource for training or consultancy, and the benefits could instantly be passed on to our clients. In addition, its open standards based architecture allowed for seamless integration into our existing environments, removing the pain usually associated with software implementations."

"Target's aim is to help our clients achieve competitive advantage in a market where automation, cost-reduction and efficiency are key. Interstage Business Process Manager will help enable Target to deliver these benefits to clients. We plan to implement BPM functionality alongside our currently supported processes for new business acquisition, customer account management and debt management," he continued.

"By leveraging Fujitsu Software's Interstage Business Process Manager, Target has a more comprehensive software solution, which will have the capabilities to provide some of the leading names in the consumer finance market with the value-add of managing business processes effectively, resulting in improved productivity, cost reduction, and increased profitability. Target is a very welcome addition to our growing European customer base," said Gerrie Lindeque, sales director of Fujitsu Software Corporation's European Operations.
