Gissing Software is today launched as the new name for Mighter Gissing Software Ltd. The change reflects the company's successful growth in the financial technology marketplace over the past ten years.

Building on the reputation of its market data multi-contribution solution, ConteX MCS, Gissing Software has developed a sophisticated product portfolio known for performance and reliability. The company's client list has grown by 400% since 2001 to over 20 in 30 sites in the UK, Europe and US. It includes tier one banks and brokers such as ABN AMRO, Royal Bank of Scotland, Merrill Lynch and GFI. Gissing Software will also be announcing further new clients over the coming months.

To help meet the needs of its expanding product portfolio and client base, Gissing Software has brought in a new management team to provide experience and to support the company's continuing growth. Mike Vieyra was appointed as the new CEO in January 2004. Three new appointments were made in June 2004, including Peter McKenna who joined as marketing director and Nigel Bell and Deanna Sullivan who joined as business development managers.

Mike Vieyra has worked in software and financial services for over 25 years, starting in real-time software development at Reuters and Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP). Mike's entrepreneurial career began in 1984 with a consultancy company and since then he has been involved in setting-up a number of successful new companies and raising capital for others. His background and experience make him the ideal person to drive Gissing’s rapid expansion. The founder of the company, Richard Gissing, will now focus on his new role of chief technology officer.

Peter McKenna's appointment adds further weight to the senior management team. Peter has over 20 years experience in sales, marketing and product management in financial technology. He joined Gissing Software from Misys Asset Management Systems and has also worked at Reuters and Interactive Investor International.

Mike Murton, Gissing Software's sales director, has appointed the new business development managers to help with the expansion and increased interest in Gissing's products. Nigel Bell joins Gissing from Cicada, with experience of working at Thomson Financial and Reuters and Deanna Sullivan has come from Bridge Information Systems.

Mike Vieyra, CEO, says, "Gissing Software has a long and successful track record in providing industrial-strength, market data multi-contribution solutions. This financial and technical expertise has provided the backdrop for a natural development path for new products encompassing trade capture and STP interfaces. As we experience this period of rapid growth we will vigorously preserve our reputation of service excellence and meet the needs of the increasing numbers of financial institutions turning to us for help."
