OneChicago appoints Cbot executive Thomas McCabe COO

OneChicago, the all-electronic exchange for trading Single Stock Futures, a synthetic stock lending and financing tool, today announced that Thomas G. McCabe, a twenty-plus-year executive at the Chicago Board of Trade, has been named Chief Operating Officer. He will join the exchange on February 4, 2008.

Mr. McCabe has been with the CBOT throughout his career, starting in the Office of Investigations and Audits rising to Managing Director of the Investigations Department. He changed his career path in 1998 moving over to the operations side of the exchange. He began his new role by working on the introduction and implementation of the automated order routing technology. He took on increasingly more responsibilities in 2001 as Vice-President, Floor Business and became Vice President Trading Operations in 2005 where he led a key project completing straight-through processing for the trading floor. He was instrumental in combining the CBOT and CME floors as a result of their merger.
