Future Route, the provider of Inductive Logic Programming (ILP) solutions to analyse and detect fraud patterns, today announced the appointment of Dr Weal Khatib as Product Development Manager.
Dr Khatib joins Future Route's Centre of Excellence for advanced machine learning in Kent. With expertise in complexity science and artificial intelligence Dr Khatib will be a valuable addition to the team of mathematicians and technologists based at the centre. This team has spent the past three years developing Future Route's flagship solution - iHex(tm).
iHex(tm) is the Inductive Logic Programming (ILP) solution to analyse and detect fraud patterns. ILP is an artificially intelligent method of identifying previously invisible fraud patterns and anomalies; this advanced machine learning solution then automatically creates and implements detailed and accurate rules that can stop fraud. iHEX(tm) combats all types of fraudulent activity for credit card companies, banks, government agencies and corporations.
Dr Khatib's previous areas of focus included various aspects of Complexity Science/Artificial Intelligence such as Evolutionary Computing and Agent-based Modeling. Whilst at Icosystem, a technology based strategy consulting firm based in Cambridge, MA, Dr Khatib lead ground-breaking projects for Fortune 500 clients in the Health Insurance, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical, and Entertainment sectors. Dr Khatib has a PhD in Evolutionary Computing, an MSc in Control and Information Systems and a B.Eng/ACGI from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, UK.
