Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE:CSC) today announced that it has signed a five-year, $192 million information technology (IT) outsourcing contract renewal with TrygVesta, the second-largest insurance company in the Nordic region.

The new agreement, which takes effect Jan. 1, 2008, expands geographic coverage throughout the region.

Under the terms of the contract, which supersedes the previous agreement signed in 2003, CSC will continue to provide IT infrastructure services, including help desk, mainframe, midrange, network, Web hosting, and print and distributed computing. These services will support approximately 3,900 users at TrygVesta locations in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

"We are pleased to extend and expand our existing relationship with CSC in signing this new agreement to support our insurance activities across the Nordic countries," said Peter Falkenham, chief operating officer of TrygVesta. "It is important to TrygVesta's future business development that we get a world-class level of IT support with geographical breath and depth that matches our goals."

"CSC is delighted to be expanding our relationship with TrygVesta," said Nick Wilson, president of CSC's Northern European Operations. "This renewal is testament to the benefits they have received from outsourcing. CSC's expansion and growing expertise within the financial services industry will deliver results that take TrygVesta to the next generation of outsourcing."
