LBB-INVEST, a subsidiary of Landesbank Berlin, now benefits from the seamless integration of its distribution channel, Berliner Sparkasse, with its Asset Arena Investor Account Management solution.

EASI is an integral part of SunGard's SOA initiative, CSA (Common Service Architecture). EASI provides LBB-INVEST with direct access from every sales-related application to Asset Arena. Before the implementation of EASI, LBB-INVEST's sales teams were only able to manage transactions, such as buying or selling a fund, via multiple processing steps that used different paper forms and numerous IT applications. Today, these teams are able to benefit from a standardised user interface with an end-to-end integration, significantly cutting transaction processing times.

Andreas Heß, head of business management at LBB-INVEST commented: "We needed a solution that would connect our sales teams directly with our investment account management function, in order to effectively manage our master data and transactions. Now not only have we been able to optimise our processes, but we are also better able to meet regulatory standards, such as MiFID, in executing our customer transactions."

Thorsten Junike, chief operating officer of SunGard Forbatec GmbH, commented: "A clear understanding of key business processes, user-friendly front-ends and features such as integrated forms and reports are all critical to helping our customers remain competitive in environments such as fund management. We are pleased that LBB-INVEST have chosen our EASI component to help them sustain their competitive advantage."
