Leveraging the Spotlight Financial Platform, FIS will offer hosted mobile banking and payment solutions to its banking and credit union clients.

mFoundry's Spotlight Financial Platform is the only mobile banking solution available that provides financial institutions with the flexibility to create well-branded, unique applications for their consumers. In addition to offering full mobile functionality, Spotlight Financial Platform can accommodate virtually any payment transaction type, as well as coupons, loyalty and other services. All of these services are provided on the widest array of handsets and mobile operators supported in the U.S.

This newly forged relationship will bring mobile banking and payment solutions to FIS' customer base of more than 9,000 financial institutions in the U.S. Customers and members of participating financial institutions will be able to check account balances, transfer funds, and view and pay bills via cell phones and other mobile devices.

"FIS has great reach into thousands of financial institutions and has processing and technology relationships with more than 30 of the top 50 global banks and at least 50 percent of community financial institutions in the U.S.," said Drew Sievers, chief executive officer and co-founder of mFoundry. "FIS is an important partner for mFoundry because of FIS' leadership position and reputation for consistently delivering best-of-class financial services solutions."

The Spotlight Financial Platform will be integrated with FIS solutions that address the end-to-end business requirements for thousands of large bank, community bank, savings bank and credit union clients.

"As the leader in bank technology services, mobility is an important part of our customers' product and service roadmaps," said Anthony Jabbour, executive vice president of FIS' Integrated Financial Solutions division. "mFoundry's platform gives us more flexibility than the other solutions we saw in the market, while providing us with the ability to deliver the right solution for financial institutions of all sizes. We are looking forward to bringing the best-of-breed mobile services to our customers."
