Quod Financial, a leading Advanced Execution provider, today announced the appointment of Andy Menzies as Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing.

Formerly Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Apama, the algorithmic trading division of Progress Software Menzies will build the company's brand as a recognised market leader in electronic trading across all segments of the capital markets.

Reporting directly to Ali Pichvai, Founder and Managing Director, Menzies brings more than 20 years of software industry experience to Quod Financial. Menzies will work with Pichvai to enhance Quod Financial's offering by building on its proven execution capability in Financial Services combined with its well-established network of partner organisations.

Commenting on his appointment, Menzies adds, "Quod Financial is clearly very well placed to capitalise on the fast-paced, technology-hungry landscape of the capital markets. With the fragmentation of liquidity and the emergence of new venues, coupled with the lack of true cross-asset capable trading solutions, Quod Financial has a more than compelling proposition." Menzies continues, "Quod Financial's smart-order routing for example is already putting the company on the map. While the market is already populated with both US and European software vendors, Quod Financial's approach will be to differentiate through both technological strength, domain expertise and a focus on customer satisfaction.

"We are delighted to have Andy on the team," says Ali Pichvai, Founder & Managing Director of Quod Financial. "The capital markets continue to evolve at a tremendous pace, and as the appetite for cross-asset trading strategies continue to grow the need to implement the appropriate tools to capitalise on this revolution become increasingly important. 2008 will be a great year for us as we continue to add new and richer functionality to our platform and expand our client and partner base."
