XSP's Martinez elected co-chair of ISITC corporate actions working group

XSP, the leading global provider of Corporate Actions processing software, announced today that Laura Martinez, Principal Product Manager, has been elected as Vendor Co-Chair of the ISITC Corporate Actions Working Group.

In this position, Martinez will collaborate with the group's Co-Chairs and members to review ISO 15022 standards and direct enhancements to message content that promote the straight-through processing (STP) of Corporate Actions.

At XSP, Martinez is responsible for ensuring that the company's flagship solution, XSP Corporate Actions software, complies with global SMPG initiatives. Martinez reviews all changes to the SWIFT standards and SMPG guidelines to determine the impact of these changes on the XSP system. She is also responsible for reviewing all changes made to the XSP system to determine what impact the changes may have on the processing of ISO messages. In addition, Martinez is actively involved in managing the company's research and development initiatives to facilitate introduction of new functionality to the XSP system.

Prior to joining XSP, Martinez served as a business analyst at Source Medical. Additionally, her previous experience includes a position as IT Manager at Healthsouth, where she worked on various technology initiatives including the re-engineering of the company's intranet site to streamline processing.

Martinez has been an active participant of the ISITC Corporate Actions Working Group since 2004. Throughout her involvement, she has established relationships with ISITC's global network of securities operations professionals and industry peers representing broker/dealers, custodian banks, investment managers and vendors/service providers.
