Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of next generation payment solutions for financial institutions announces the opening of new regional headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

The Malaysian office will offer a customer project delivery capability for clients in South East Asia.

"Until now we serviced clients and delivered projects in the South East Asian region from our existing offices in Singapore and Australia" states Warren Gardiner, General Manager Asia Pacific for Clear2Pay. He adds: "However the scope and number of projects we execute in South East Asia have drawn us into the region. It is our policy to deliver projects in close co-operation with our customers so we felt that a dedicated regional base was called for with sales, customer delivery and project capabilities. Kuala Lumpur was an obvious choice in view of its central location with ample opportunities to commute in the region, the favourable cost of business operations and access to strong IT staff in an English language area."

"Asia Pacific has shown and continues to show very high growth rates in the number of payments transactions. Where globally we expect a growth rate of around 12% in the five year period between 2004 -2009[1], Asia Pacific will grow by around 20%. As a company we see and experience this heightened interest as well in our revenues" continues Michel Akkermans, Chairman and CEO of Clear2Pay. "The vast regional growth will involve many more payments projects at national and regional banks. As a niche payments technology provider with a longstanding track record in the region through our offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore, we are well placed to do more for current and new clients in South East Asia.

Pete McCormick heads up the Kuala Lumpur office which is the home base to sales, service and software engineers geared towards supporting the regional projects.
