Misys appoints Robert McCormick VP, global alliances

Misys (FTSE: MSY.L), the global applications software and services company, today announced the appointment of Robert (Bob) McCormick as vice president, Global Alliances, effective immediately.

In this role, Mr. McCormick will lead the global channels operations for Misys and drive value from global partnerships, including those recently announced with SAP, HCL and Wipro.

Mr. McCormick joins Misys from IBM Corporation where he was the global vice president of Channels for the Information Management software group. Previously he was the Global Vice President of Channels for IBM's Small and Medium Business. Mr. McCormick has 25 years of experience in building innovative and valuable global partnerships with independent software vendors and systems integrators, as well as value-added resellers and distributors.
