The London Stock Exchange today announces that Guy Eden has joined the Information Services Product Development Team as Product Manager.

Eden will be responsible for managing and developing UnaVista, the London Stock Exchange's global data integration, validation matching and reconciliation service.

Eden joins the London Stock Exchange from investment banking solution providers Ipreo. Prior to Ipreo, Eden was Solutions Director at SunGard, where he was responsible for product management of SunGard's Trade Management and SWIFTNet integration solutions.

Eden said: "I am very pleased to be working at the hub of the financial industry and driving an exciting new line of business. The London Stock Exchange is extremely well placed to provide bespoke matching and data reconciliation services to investment banks through UnaVista. The solutions UnaVista offers to financial institutions are unique in their rapid deployment time, and reduce the cost and risk associated with global data integration projects."

Commenting on his appointment, Karen Young, Head of Business Development Information Services at the London Stock Exchange, said: "The London Stock Exchange is committed to leveraging our deep business knowledge and advancing our technical capabilities to benefit our customers. Guy's appointment to this role demonstrates our success and growth in this area and strengthens the UnaVista team. I am sure that his knowledge will be of enormous value in further achieving our goals."

UnaVista is at the heart of the Exchange's SEDOL Masterfile service, where it processes over 5 million reference data transactions daily, and supports TradElect, the Exchange's trading platform, to capture reference data on MiFID eligible securities. Compliance and portfolio reconciliation solutions were recently added to the product suite, with additional business solutions planned for 2008.
