As announced on 4 July 2007, IT&e Limited (ASX code: 'ITE' AIM: 'ITEL'), is in the process of recruitment of a new Chairman.
That recruitment is proceeding to plan, and a further update to the market will be issued when the appointment is complete.
As also announced on 24 October 2007, David Bell, Chairman, and Stephen Simpson, independent non-executive directors of the Company, are not seeking re-election at the AGM to be held on 28 November 2007. Having completed their terms in office, David and Stephen have today stepped down as directors. Also, in line with the Board's objective of reducing the number of directors to a more manageable size, Greg Meekings has stepped down as an independent non-executive director effective today. The Board thanks these directors for their efforts and contribution to the Company.
Ellis Bugg, an existing independent non-executive director of IT&e Limited, has been appointed by the Board as interim Chairman, pending appointment of the new Chairman.
Following these changes the composition of the Board of Directors is:
Ellis Bugg (independent non-executive Chairman), James Maranis (CEO), Simon Yencken (Non-executive director), Ralph Pickering (Non-executive director), and Jane Yuile (independent non-executive director).
