Temenos names Tony Mahony global client services director

Temenos Group (SWX: TEMN), the provider of integrated core banking systems, today announced the appointment of Tony Mahony to Global Client Services Director, following three successful years managing Temenos' operations in Asia Pacific.

The appointment reinforces Temenos' strategy to provide industry-leading services and project execution. Temenos' service business focuses on consultancy, implementation, and application management for its core modular banking platform, TEMENOS T24 (T24), and the T24 Model Bank solution, which includes pre-configured products and processes for banking best practice, reducing implementation time and costs, minimising customisation and lowering project risk.

Tony will be responsible for working with Temenos' implementation teams to strengthen the implementation methodology of T24 Model Bank, including processes and Key Performance Indicator's, ensuring that the T24 Model Bank product continues to be enhanced with banking best practice content for each of the banking sectors that Temenos serves. He will also lead the ongoing development of Temenos' implementation support services, including TEMENOS Management Consultancy, TEMENOS Application Management Services and TEMENOS Client Training.

Tony has worked in various financial services roles for the last 20 years, joining Temenos Ireland in 1999 as a Banking Consultant. He was promoted to Project Manager and then Project Director in quick succession, being instrumental in several large high-profile T24 projects world-wide. In 2004, Tony became the Client Services Director for Asia Pacific, where he more than quadrupled the business' revenue in just two years.

Temenos has carried out more than 600 implementations worldwide, and ensures customers gain real business value from their core banking system by providing a range of support serviccces. Temenos' services organisation counts more than 1,000 project managers and consultants that dedicate themselves to servicing clients in more than 120 countries worldwide.
