Pyxis Mobile, a leading provider of wireless applications for the financial services industry, today announced that it will be adding two new members to its board of directors.

Steven Levy of MEARS Technologies, Inc. and Robert Mazzarella, formally of Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC, have joined the board of directors as of today.

Levy joined MEARS Technologies, Inc. as its CEO in February and brought to the company his comprehensive experience of successfully growing and strengthening technologically dynamic companies.

In 1991, Levy co-founded Macgregor, a financial technology firm, and continued working there until 2006, having led its sale to ITG.
Macgregor provided trade order management and networking solutions to the asset management and brokerage industry. Levy's ability to create new revenue sharing models within the industry allowed Macgregor to gain a greater portion of the value they were delivering than traditional technology providers.

Mazzarella has more than 33 years of experience in the securities industry and more than 18 years at Fidelity Investments, most recently as president of Fidelity Brokerage Services. During his tenure at Fidelity, he was also president of Fidelity's Institutional Brokerage Group which included Fidelity Capital Markets, correspondent clearing services, Registered Investment Advisor services, and market data distribution services.

Currently, Mazzarella holds board positions at Placemark Investments, an RIA in Wellesley, Massachusetts; M & O, Inc., a technology firm providing database services to financial firms; Siebert Financial Corporation, a public financial services firm; and the Boston Stock Exchange. He is also chair of the Boston Options Exchange Regulatory Board and provides consulting services to a number of major financial services and venture capital firms.

"We are extremely pleased to add Steve Levy and Bob Mazzarella to Pyxis Mobile's Board of Directors," says Shane Hughes, President and CEO of Pyxis Mobile. "Bob and Steve add a wealth of financial services industry and technology knowledge and experience to our organization. Both are individuals of high integrity, personable, and a pleasure to work with."

These additions increase the number of Pyxis Mobile directors to seven.
In addition to Levy and Mazzarella, the members of Pyxis Mobile's board are Shane Hughes, president, CEO, and co-founder; Todd Christy, CTO and co-founder; Travis Connors, partner at Egan-Managed Capital; Brian Girvan, partner and CFO of Ascent Venture Partners; and Larry Raffone, EVP of sales and client services for Financial Engines.
