Heartland Payment Systems (NYSE:HPY), a leading provider of credit/debit/prepaid card processing, payroll and payment services, has launched Heartland Express Funds, a bank-neutral remote deposit capture system.

Express Funds allows businesses to electronically deposit checks into bank accounts without physically transporting them to the bank - regardless of which bank or banks the business uses. Eliminating floats and holds, funds are available within 24 hours, and, in many cases, by the next-business morning.

Additionally, Express Funds integrates into many accounting systems including QuickBooks, Great Plains, Peachtree and Accpac.

"Heartland Express Funds offers businesses an effective solution for handling check payments that also saves time and money," said Bob Carr, Heartland's chairman and chief executive officer. "As with all of Heartland's product offerings, we guarantee the same transparent pricing, secure transactions and dedicated customer support that is a cornerstone of our credit/debit/prepaid card processing and payroll transactions."

Mr. Carr continued, "As remote deposit capture rapidly gains acceptance, it will quickly replace traditional runs to the bank. Because Express Funds is bank-neutral, we expect it to be well received by companies in industries that receive high volumes of check payments such as professional services. By expanding our offering to current customers and entering new markets with this product, we believe we can become the largest non-bank provider of remote deposit services by the end of 2007."
