With the agreement, RealTick clients, which include both buy-side and sell-side organizations in 94 countries and territories, can now directly access Instinet's U.S. and European order tickets. These in turn provide access to Instinet's five ATS platforms (including Chi-X Europe and CBX in the U.S.), DMA to over 50 securities markets in more than 30 countries, suite of trading algorithms and agency sales trading desks in Europe and the U.S.
"Institutional traders today are presented with myriad venues on which to trade and strategies to employ," said Michael Plunkett, President, North America at Instinet. "We believe firmly that the concept of openness, whether on our platforms or our partners', is what the buyside demands, and Instinet will make every effort to accommodate that desire."
"Adding a leading agency broker like Instinet to our multi-broker network allows RealTick users to benefit from Instinet's access to additional markets around the globe without having to access multiple platforms," comments Michel Finzi, Managing Director, Global Head of Sales and Marketing for Townsend Analytics.
