TSX Group today shared with market participants additional details about the migration to TSX Quantum, TSX Group's new proprietary trading engine for Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX).
It is expected that TSX Quantum will be available for testing in the TSX's Gateway Testing Environment starting on November 16, 2007. Availability in the TSX production testing environment is scheduled for late November 2007, with additional production testing dates being available in early 2008.
Symbol migration to TSX Quantum will occur on a phased basis, with dates anticipated as follows:
- The first TSX traded symbol (TSX Group Inc. - X) will begin trading on TSX Quantum in early December 2007;
- The next TSX traded symbol will begin trading on TSX Quantum in mid December 2007
- An additional 10 symbols will be migrated in late January 2008; and
- All remaining TSX symbols will be migrated in two alphabetical phases beginning in April 2008.
