NYCE Payments Network today announced Renasant Bank, headquartered in Tupelo, Miss., has chosen the NYCE Network for its three-state operating region in the Mid-South.
Renasant chose NYCE as its primary network for both ATM and point-of-sale transactions. NYCE is a leading U.S. debit card payments network and a division of Metavante Corporation, the banking and payments technology subsidiary of Marshall & Ilsley Corporation (NYSE: MI).
"Renasant is actively expanding into high-growth markets, demonstrated by our recently completed merger in Nashville, Tenn., and the opening of several new offices over the past five years," said Jim Gray, Renasant chief information officer and senior executive vice president. "To enable this type of growth, while at the same time striving to be the financial services provider of choice in the communities Renasant serves, we chose to partner with a network we can trust. NYCE's ability to deliver new technologies, which support the payment options our clients require, was a deciding factor for us."
With offices in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama, Renasant brings 50 ATMs and 85,000 cards into the NYCE Network. Renasant joins 20 other financial institutions across the South that have begun participating in NYCE over the last 12 months, adding 146,750 cards and 164 ATMs to the NYCE Network in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana and North Carolina.
"Renasant Bank has built a reputation for providing big bank solutions with exceptional customer care, helping it compete effectively against both larger and smaller institutions in its area," said Steve Rathgaber, NYCE president and chief operating officer. "NYCE's organization supports that culture by providing their cardholders with emerging payment options, along with the convenience and access to which they're accustomed."
Metavante also provides Renasant Bank with core processing, ATM driving, debit card processing, consumer and business e-banking solutions, check and document imaging and report management, as well as trust and investment management services.
