TransUnion appoints Raveendhrun VP, fraud solutions

TransUnion today announced the appointment of S. A. Raveendhrun to vice president of fraud solutions.

In his role, Raveendhrun will have the primary responsibility of fraud solution development, overseeing this area for all Asia Pacific markets.

Raveendhrun's extensive experience in this discipline, it will allow TransUnion to further expand its fraud and identity management offerings to meet the demands of this dynamic market."

Prior to joining TransUnion, Raveendhrun was the head of the risk containment unit for ICICI Bank Limited in Mumbai, the country's second largest bank. He developed the unit for managing fraud risk for retail banking, managed the incident response team for disaster recovery and he created a risk analytical unit for mortgages and retail loans. He also served as founding chairman of the India Payment Card Risk Council. Before ICICI, Raveendhrun served as a consultant in the risk management group at Citibank NA, where he was responsible for the risk audit operations, credit fulfillment and process vendors of the bank.

Raveendhrun has also held several positions at J. Surendar & Company, including partner and has worked for American Express TRS in Delhi as an industrial trainee with the card division. Raveendhrun holds a degree in commerce from A.M. Jain College in Chennai and he is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
