Kalahari, a global provider of real-time price discovery, analytics and publishing solutions, is delighted to announce the appointment of Martin Stevens as Director of Professional Services and Support with immediate effect.

Kalahari's consultancy team brings value by aligning the capabilities of kACE with customer needs and by providing ongoing support.

Martin has been brought in by Kalahari to revamp their professional services division in anticipation of the release of the next generation of kACE later this year. Kalahari's managing director, Graham Mansfield said: "Martin brings with him best practice from a variety of industry sectors. He enhances our already accomplished team with a unique blend of experience - finance and trading, commercial strategy, project and service management. Martin will make an excellent contribution to Kalahari."

With more than 27 years experience working within the financial services arena, Martin brings excellent credentials to the Company.

Martin, (44), started his career in retail banking, moving across to the wholesale side during the Latin American debt crisis. Martin spent his final 6 years in finance as an interest rate derivatives trader at Kleinwort Benson and Banque Indosuez. During that time he worked closely with in-house development teams to specify and test pricing, portfolio and risk management systems.

In 1990, Martin left trading to focus on technology. Over a 10 year period, he led teams to specify, sell, implement and support front and back office interest rate derivative trading systems across the world.

Martin then went on to help develop a consultancy business. Over the last 8 years he has worked with a number of Blue Chip clients to deliver a wide range of technology related business and process improvement projects.
