Cyveillance, a global leader in cyber intelligence, today announced a partnership with Co-op Services Credit Union (CSCU) to enhance existing security measures for protecting online customers from phishing attacks.

With more and more phishing attacks targeting credit unions, CSCU turned to Cyveillance for its proven track record in providing advanced warning of potential phishing attacks through comprehensive Internet monitoring and its guaranteed take-down service.

"As phishing attacks become more sophisticated and targeted, financial institutions cannot idly standby and expect the burden of security to fall upon its users," said Norm Thomas, Vice President of Information Systems of Co-op Services Credit Union. "Once we partnered with Cyveillance, we quickly changed our anti-phishing security posture from reactive to proactive."

Cyveillance Anti-Phishing will monitor the Internet for phishing scams targeting CSCU members through junk email, fraudulent domain name registrations, and systematic monitoring of the Web. In addition, Cyveillance will also provide site take-down services, which include a Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing to shut down any phishing sites in five hours or less. Cyveillance Anti-Phishing also includes automated phishing site blocking - through Cyveillance partners such as AOL and Microsoft - to prevent Internet users from reaching identified sites during the brief takedown period.

"The Internet continues to grow in leaps and bounds, and with that growth comes increased security risks and challenges," said Panos Anastassiadis, CEO of Cyveillance. "We take pride in being able to tailor our services to each client and deliver to them the intelligence they need to take the appropriate security measures in eliminating the threat of identity theft and fraud to unsuspecting online customers."
