Reuters adds Buzzelli and Kaim to enterprise information division in NY

Reuters (LSE: RTR; NASDAQ: RTRSY) has made two senior appointments within its Enterprise Information division in New York to support its strategic expansion in enterprise data services.

Brian Buzzelli has been hired as Vice President and Business Manager for Fund Administration, Valuation and Back Office and Terry Kaim joins as Business Manager responsible for growth and strategy in the Mutual Fund, Administration and Back Office space.

Buzzelli and Kaim both report to Michele Kelsey, Senior Vice President, Fund Administration, Valuation & Back Office, and join Reuters as it develops its data management capabilities throughout the front, middle and back office to enable customers to capitalise on a rapidly growing market.

Buzzelli is responsible for driving sales and business development and translating client needs into product requirements. Prior to joining Reuters, Buzzelli was Vice President and Product Manager for Outsourcing Services at the Bank of New York Mellon where he developed a new data management outsourcing service to provide a significantly improved service to clients. This new business model leveraged relevant services, technology and market data content to enable a new data distribution channel and attract a new source of third-party data vendor clients.

Buzzelli also held business development and technical leadership positions with Access Data and Federated Investors where his experience includes advising senior executives at leading investment management and financial services firms.

Kaim, also responsible for driving business development and serving client requirements, joins Reuters Enterprise Information with 10 years industry experience, most recently as Product Specialist at Reuters for 3000 XTRA, its desktop information and transaction offering. Prior to this Kaim was a Senior Finance and Technology Training Specialist at Instinet Corporation.
