Sterling Payment Technologies hires Nerino Mayer to lead dealer solutions unit

Sterling Payment Technologies' President and CEO Paul Hunter today announced that Nerino Mayer has joined Sterling as the President of Sterling Dealer Solutions - a dedicated, independent business unit established to build and support Sterling's growing dealer/integrator sales channel.

Mr. Mayer comes to Sterling from RBS Lynk Indirect Sales, where he was instrumental in selecting and building the strategic partnerships that placed the organization in the markets it services today. Additionally, he grew the strong referral partnerships that fed the entire sales organization. These partners included point-of-sale (POS) vendors, dealers, agent banks and associations.
During his tenure as Director of RBS Lynk's Internet Business Unit, Mr. Mayer led the creation and establishment of the RBS Lynk eCommerce payment platform. His responsibilities included software architecture, development, deployment, sales activities and project management for the eCommerce platform.
Prior to RBS Lynk, Mr. Mayer spent seven years as a Business Development Manager at Hewlett-Packard's VeriFone division. He performed a variety of roles there, most recently for sales of eCommerce payment platforms to U.S. payment processors and international telecom and retail markets. He also spearheaded the development and entrance of VeriFone Smart Card technologies implemented in the Atlanta Olympics, after being relocated to the United States from Australia.
