Linedata Services (LIN.FP), a global leader in the financial technology market, today announced the hire of Gavin Little-Gill as Senior Vice President in charge of product management and strategy for front office products.

Little-Gill was previously at TowerGroup, as Group Research Director.

Little-Gill's responsibilities include overseeing the development of LongView Live, the next-generation of Linedata's powerful, global, multi-asset class, order management system. LongView Live is set to change the face of trading by introducing a highly intuitive, graphics-oriented interface. LongView Live will offer seamless integration with broker/dealers, execution management systems, and liquidity destinations such as dark pools, all in a broker-neutral environment and on a real-time (or "Live") screen.

"LongView is changing the paradigm for how traders and portfolio managers access the markets," said Little-Gill. "LongView Live is going to usher in a new era in the asset management business, and I knew that I couldn't pass up the chance to be a part of its development. The time I've spent covering this space has prepared me to take the platform to the next level."

Little-Gill spent six years as an analyst covering investment management technology and maintained a strong focus in his previous role on trading technology and the evolution of liquidity.

"We are very excited to have Gavin join the Linedata team at this critical time in the evolution of one of our core products," said Annie Morris, Chief Operating Officer of Linedata. "We will carefully weigh the input of all of our key client audiences as we continue to enhance the LongView interface. Gavin knows the players, how they use the product, and the space, so we have a great resource on our side who will make sure we get this right."

Little-Gill joined TowerGroup in 2001. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in the industry, including two at a U.S. subsidiary of CDC-IXIS as vice president, and nine with Scudder, most recently as vice president.
Little-Gill holds a B.S. from Bates College and an M.S. in Finance from Boston College. He successfully completed a certificate program in Pensions and Benefits from Bentley Collleege, in Massachusetts. He has passed level 1 of the three-part Chartered Financial Analyst certification exam and held Series 6, 7, 63, 24, and 26 registrations.
