BT today announced that Chuck Pol has been appointed to run BT’s Global Financial Services business unit, reporting to Michael Boustridge, President, BT Americas.
BT Global Financial Services was formed to combine the core strengths within BT to serve the global financial community. This includes the world's largest shared market infrastructure designed specifically for the financial services market (BT Radianz), converged voice trading technology, and information communications technology services. By leveraging these capabilities GFS is able to design and bring solutions to the financial services market that meet the industry's complex infrastructure and communications service requirements.
Michael Boustridge, President, BT Americas, said: "Chuck's experience in driving growth and establishing productive partnerships with customers will be a key asset as we bring the full strength of BT capabilities to bear in supporting the financial services market globally. The skill set of Chuck complements the other members of the management team and further strengthens our strategic work and relationships with customers and partners in the industry. Previously Pol headed BT Global Services in the Americas where he drove 50 percent revenue growth year over year in a highly competitive market. During Chuck's tenure, BT acquired several significant US-based companies, including Radianz, Infonet, Counterpane and INS. Pol has been directly involved in winning major new contracts with global enterprises based in the US.
