Telerate upgrades Active8 desktop display application

Telerate, a leading global provider of real-time information and transaction services, announced today the launch of its second major release of Active8, Telerate's front-end application for retrieving, displaying and integrating market data, news and analysis.

In its new and improved capacity, Active8 v.2.0 provides clients with greater flexibility and significant enhancements including a new portfolio feature to monitor P&L in real-time, improved charting and technical analysis, a new Alerts interface and a Microsoft-style Favorites menu and Navigation bar.

Active8 provides customers with tools for easy integration of real-time quotes, news and charts from multiple data sources. The application is now installed on several thousand desktops worldwide and runs on TRS, Triarch, RMDS (SASS-3) and TIB. In addition, the application supports both Microsoft and Citrix terminal servers. Users include leading global institutions such as Citigroup, FHLB and Fortis.

In addition to the new features mentioned above, Active8 v.2.0 offers clients improved Index Analysis providing real-time tracking of index constituents, "Send To" functionality so information can be included in other Microsoft components, Symbol Name Aliasing, Option Analytics which provides streaming financial data of listed put and call options and improved DDE capability.
