Lima-headquartered BIF - Banco Interamericano de Finanzas has become the first and only bank in Peru, and one of only a handful in Latin America, able to provide its corporate customers with the ability to initiate and monitor their trade finance transactions via Internet.
BIF has successfully implemented allNETT - Surecomp's highly-acclaimed Java J2EE Internet-based trade finance customer front end.
BIF joins a growing list of Latin American banks who have selected a Surecomp solution to help drive their trade services aspirations.
Isabel Quevedo, BIF's International Business Manager remarked "This achievement further demonstrates the depth of cooperation between BIF and Surecomp, and the professionalism and dedication of both parties in reaching this milestone. Last year we merely had a dream, today we are running a comprehensive trade service operation, the first of its kind in Peru."
Flavio Venturini, General Manager of Surecomp's Santiago-based Latin American operations said "We are honored that we have helped BIF accomplish another first and in doing so have taken Peruvian banking to new heights. Surecomp together with its clients is reshaping the financial services landscape in the region."
