Kabira Technologies, a leader in high performance transaction processing software for global enterprises, today announced the appointment of Peter Robinson as Sales Director for Payment Systems, EMEAR (Europe Middle-East Africa and Russia).
He will be responsible for the driving the development of Kabira's e-payments business in the European marketplace following the companies successful launch into this area in January 2007.
Peter Robinson brings to Kabira considerable experience of working with major banks and financial service providers across the whole of EMEAR. As General Manager and VP at ACI Worldwide he helped to secure many major banks as clients and grew revenue from retail and corporate payments systems from $15m to $100m. Peter has also held senior sales positions at Wireless Knowledge, Fidelity Information Services and ID Data plc. He began his career at International Computer Ltd (ICL) in 1979.
In addition to Peter's impressive business background he is also highly active outside the office. In 2004 he completed an Ultimate Triathlon to raise money for the Alzheimer's Research Trust, raising over £20,000 for the charity after completing the London Marathon, Skydiving from 12,000ft and competing in the Global Challenge 2004/5, dubbed 'the world's toughest yacht race' as it involves sailing the wrong way round the world against prevailing winds and currents.
