TT also announced it has expanded its operations in Tokyo with the opening of a hub there for its fully managed hosting solution, TTNET. The hub provides TT's customers in Tokyo with direct connectivity to more than 20 global exchanges.

The OSE gateway will be TT's first link to the Japanese financial markets. Connectivity will broaden TT's reach in the Asia/Pacific region, where it already provides access to Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Sydney Futures Exchange (SFE). Additional connections in the region are expected.

The OSE gateway will give TT's X_TRADER 7 customers the ability to trade a broad range of securities-related futures and options products listed on OSE including:

  • Nikkei 225 Futures, mini and Options
  • Nikkei 300 Futures and Options
  • Russell Nomura Prime Index Futures
  • Equity options

"Connectivity to Osaka Securities Exchange will enable TT to further expand distribution in the thriving Asia/Pacific region. We look forward to providing our customers in Tokyo and beyond with access to one of Japan's biggest derivatives exchanges," said Toshimasa Fujii, TT's Country Manager, Japan.

"We are very pleased to be working with TT to connect their X_TRADER platform to Osaka Securities Exchange. We believe our portfolio of futures and options products will have broad appeal to the many thousands of professional traders worldwide who utilize TT's trading platform," said Ryuta Kitagawa, Executive Officer, Public Relations of OSE.

OSE is among the world's top 25 futures exchanges. The exchange reported record trading volume for 2006 and for the first quarter of 2007, in large part due to increased volume and international interest in the Nikkei indices.

This agreement with OSE will provide TT customers with access to 26 global markets. TT's fast, reliable exchange connections enable trading of the world's major futures exchanges as well as OTC energy, foreign exchange, fixed income and other instruments. All TT gateways are accessible from TT's X_TRADER order-entry software. The gateways also will connect through TT's X_TRADER API and FIX Adapter to third-party, proprietary and black-box trading applications.
