The banking software editor Callataÿ & Wouters, which is entering its 25th year of existence and of success, assembled all its collaborators for its Annual General Meeting, held on the 4th of May. During the evening, the current CEO and co-founder Didier de Callataÿ revealed the name of his successor.

Didier de Callataÿ: "In the face of new and very exciting opportunities, I believe it is necessary to make some changes to the organisation of our company. 2008 will therefore be a year of substantial change. Indeed, I have decided to hand over to a new CEO. I proposed to the Board of Directors that M. Marc De Groote be nominated, and my proposal met with their unanimous acceptance."

Marc De Groote, aged 44, is currently a member of the Executive Committee in charge of international and strategic development. He has the human and professional qualities required to be successful in this new position. Having been present at Callataÿ & Wouters for more than 15 years, he is deeply entrenched in the culture and values of the company and his experience is multiple. He has supervised important projects, directed the Research department, negotiated numerous important contracts, has been the instigator of very buoyant partnerships and has contributed enormously to the international expansion of Callataÿ & Wouters.

Didier de Callataÿ adds: "In my opinion, which is also shared by many others, he has strong interpersonal qualities, he is always courteous and friendly and always shows a great deal of enthusiasm. In addition, he will have the support of a strong and experienced management team, so that this change will also be a continuation."

For his part, Didier de Callataÿ will be taking up the Presidency of the Supervisory Board, to be put in place shortly, which will be in charge of major strategic options.

He goes on to conclude: "Our company has gone from one success to another and today, after 25 years, is at a key moment in its progression. It is now preparing for the future, to brilliantly rise to the exciting challenges that await it. I am entirely convinced that evolvement within our company, through ongoing and seamless transition, is the best solution for Callataÿ & Wouters and for its clients."
