Standard & Poor’s, a provider of financial market intelligence, today announced the appointment of Damian Burleigh as head of sales and client service in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Burleigh will be responsible for sales and client relationships across Standard & Poor's range of products and services, including independent credit ratings and research, qualitative fund management ratings and research, fundamental analysis and equity research, index benchmarking and evaluated pricing. Standard & Poor's services and solutions are widely used among financial market professionals engaged in analytics, risk management, investment management and trading.

Burleigh was previously Vice President, Sales Europe for Standard & Poor's in London. He joined Standard & Poor's in June 2005 from Thomson Financial in London, where he was responsible for developing global accounts and senior client relationships.
