India's Reliance Money orders 10,000 Wincor Nixdorf kiosks

Wincor Nixdorf is supplying up to 10,000 kiosk systems to Reliance Money (R-Money) Limited, an Indian provider of extensive financial services, through its partner AGS Infotech.

AGS Infotech, a company that is headquartered in Mumbai and specializes in IT solutions for retail and banking, has already started installing the first kiosk terminals.

By installing a comprehensive network of kiosk systems, R-Money is pursuing the aim of enabling customers to access its transaction portal, which permits secure online share trading, among other things. The kiosk systems are based on Beetle systems, which have proven themselves in the retail sector and have been further developed specifically to meet the requirements of R-Money.

"As part of our development strategy for Asia, we view India as a market of growing importance," said Lim Khoon Hong, president of Wincor Nixdorf Asia. Around 2500 Kiosk have already been installed. The remaining kiosks will be installed over the period of next few months.

Mr. Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Director & CEO of Reliance Money stated that "the installation of the kiosks is a giant step in our endeavor to provide cost effective, secured financial services in the most convenient manner".
