Sagem Orga, one of the world leaders in the smart card sector, today announced its expansion in Southern and Eastern Europe with the opening of new offices in Madrid and in Vienna.
Spain is one of the key countries for Sagem Orga in which it intends to develop a strong customer base. After being present already in Portugal, the new office in Spain will complement Sagem Orga's position in the Iberian Telecommunications market.
"To succeed in this mature and extremely competitive market, our strategy is to rely on a highly-skilled local team, supported by a strong global organization. Throughout the entire Safran Group we focus in particular on delivering innovative technology to large telecommunication groups", says Julien Zuccarelli, Head of the Business Unit Telecommunications at Sagem Orga. He adds "Also, opening a new office in Austria is part of our global concept to be on-site and closer to our markets and customers."
With the new presence in Austria, Sagem Orga intends to build a strategic junction to the Eastern European and Central Asian markets, where the company already has a strong customer base and expects promising additional growth opportunities. This office complements those already operating in Vilnius and Bucharest.
The Sagem Orga office in Spain is led by Samuel Rodrigues, that in Vienna by Michael Kühlmann.
