FRS, a leading provider of enterprise risk and regulatory compliance solutions, today announced that it has appointed Roy Barnes as head of alliance programmes.
This appointment is in response to FRS' continued growth and will strengthen its market proposition and penetration through partnerships and expansion into new country regions.
Roy will be responsible for working with strategic partners such as Avaloq, a banking software provider, to respond to the growing demand for solutions that enable organisations to meet ever changing international reporting and compliance regulations.
Roy has over 15 years experience in developing successful business relationships in the financial markets. Before joining FRS, Roy managed the sales and operations of Template Software Consulting and was Sales & Marketing Director at Complinet, a leading London city-based Compliance software services provider.
Prior to Template Software Consulting, Roy held senior business development positions at BEA, the suppliers of service orientated architecture (SOA) software and at NCR Corporation.
Roy Barnes commented: "It's an exciting time to be leading FRS' alliances programme with so many new regulations coming into force over the next 12 months. My objective will be to forge strong relationships with new and existing software partners and enable the delivery to joint clients of a single solution dealing with the growth and complexity of current compliance and reporting regulations, particularly in international deployments."
Roy speaks French fluently and holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology.
