BancTec, a leading global provider of document and payment processing solutions, today announced that it has been selected by SunGard EXP to deliver outsourced payment processing services for EXP Mailing clients.

SunGard EXP is a business unit of SunGard Data Systems, one of the world's leading software and IT services companies.

EXP Mailing is a single-source solution for the design, printing, processing, distribution and mailing of consumer documents, such as account statements, for companies in the financial services and utilities industries. In teaming with BancTec, SunGard EXP will now offer its clients processing of inbound payments in addition to its existing outbound mailing services.

"Many of our clients would prefer to deal with only one vendor for both outbound and inbound payment correspondence - and by working with BancTec, we are able to achieve this," said Wayne Dove, senior vice president for SunGard EXP Mailing. "We are delighted to partner with a provider like BancTec, which maintains a superior service platform for the outsourcing of payment processing."

"SunGard EXP has delivered communications excellence to its mailing clients for more than two decades, and we are gratified to be entrusted to handle incoming payments," said Jeff Brown, vice president for Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) at BancTec. "This is another indication of the confidence our clients and partners have in BancTec's flexible and reliable BPO platform."

Payment processing services to be performed by BancTec include the extraction, preparation and processing of payments for EXP Mailing customers. BancTec's BPO offering provides SunGard EXP with powerful reporting tools that track key process metrics (volume, error rates, exceptions, cycle time), as well as an optional Web-enabled dashboard. These tools help BancTec clients efficiently oversee the BPO process.

BancTec offers BPO services for a wide variety of business applications, including document imaging and archive, correspondence, application forms, invoices, mobile capture, and remittance.
