Mitek Systems names David Youngerman VP, sales

Mitek Systems (OTC Bulletin Board: MITK), a leading provider of Image Analytics and Pattern Recognition software, today announced that it has appointed David Youngerman as Vice President of Sales.

The Company also appointed Mark White as Regional Sales Manager and promoted Louise Steller to the position of Director of Sales.

The appointment of Youngerman and White, and the promotion of Steller, reflects Mitek's investment to grow its revenue base from opportunities driven by the increasing usage of digital images in multiple industries.

Youngerman will begin his duties immediately and report directly to James DeBello, President and CEO of Mitek. He will be responsible for driving rapid, immediate deployment of channel sales, management and growth strategies, and will specifically aim to add top tier partner relationships for the company. He will replace Emmanuel de Boucaud who will leave Mitek at the end of March to assume duties as CEO of a newly formed Internet technology company.

His 20 years of executive-level experience in technology sales in the financial industry adds significant depth to our senior management capabilities as we continue to expand our product offerings," stated DeBello.

Commenting on his vision for increasing market share, Youngerman stated, "Mitek is uniquely positioned to offer exciting new products to its large installed base, and tightly integrate its web enabled MITEK NET[X] platform to further expand its leading role in the Image Analytics and Pattern Recognition industry."

Prior to joining Mitek, Youngerman was President of Panini N.A., the North American subsidiary of Panini S.P.A., based in Turin, Italy. Panini was recently named by independent industry research firm Celent as the leading manufacturer of distributed capture image solutions for the financial services market. During his tenure with Panini, Youngerman drove their profitable revenue growth from $6 million to $32 million and was instrumental in the development of Panini's market leading My Vision X product series. Prior to Panini, Youngerman held executive sales and operations positions at NCR, Wausau Financial Solutions and Culvern Corporation.

Youngerman graduated from the University of Dayton with a B.S. in Management. In addition to ongoing management training, Youngerman attended an Executive Management Program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. He is also a member of the American Bankers Association, Banker Administration Institute, Global Concepts - Check Forum and The Association of Work Process Improvement (TAWPI).

Prior to joining Mitek this week, Mark White served as Vice President of Sales, Check Imaging Group, for AudioTel Corporation, a developer of check processing applications using recognition software for banks. While at AudioTel, White managed a team of nine salespeople and doubled sales year over year. Prior to AudioTel, White was employed by NCR Corporation where he held the positions of Area Alliance Manager, U.S. Payment Solutions Group, and District Manager, Worldwide Cooperative Marketing Group. White also served as Regional Sales Manager for BancTec Financial Systems where he sold in-house and out-sourced Core and Check Imaging solutions to banks. White earned a B. S., Information Management, Institute of Business Management, from Brigham Young University.

Louise Steller joined Mitek in 2004 as Account Manager and promoted to Channel Manager in 2005. Steller has demonstrated outstanding sales and account management performance and has consistently achieved President's Club status while at Mitek. Prior to joining Mitek, Steller was an account executive at Cardiff Software. She earned a B.S. from Barnard College, Columbia University.
