Standard & Poor's, the world's leading provider of financial market intelligence, announced today that ISIDPlus, a cross-reference securities identifier service favored by asset managers, has expanded its data universe to include more than one million issues globally.

ISIDPlus' data expansion will enable financial institutions to increase their coverage of financial instruments and corresponding information, providing complete and transparent insight into financial data for more informed decision-making.

Established in 1989, ISIDPlus is a strategic alliance between Standard & Poor's and Telekurs Financial that brings clarity to financial information, including securities identification, pricing, and corporate action information for the global financial services industry. ISIDPlus improves cross-border communication between financial institutions, provides a single format for master and update files, helps automate and increase productivity of front- and back-office operations, resolves securities numbering problems, and speeds global trading and settlements.

"This new milestone for ISIDPlus is a reflection of the rapid growth and increasing complexity of the financial markets," said Scott Preiss, Vice President for Standard & Poor's Securities Classifications. "By having more than one million issues in ISIDPlus, our customers can increase their coverage of financial instruments along with any corresponding data and make their investment decisions with more confidence."

In addition to including issues, ISIDPlus also includes more than 250,000 companies and over four million National Securities Identification Numbers
(NSINs) including ISINs (International Securities Identification Numbers), from over 200 countries. ISIDPlus features cross-referencing of more than 1,000,000 securities, full SEDOL coverage (primary and secondary numbers), a Predecessor Link that tracks capital changes, a Parent Key identifier to link all issues within a company, ISO standard currency and domicile codes, and CFI (Classification of Financial Instruments) codes.

ISIDPlus can be delivered electronically in a fixed flat file or relational database format, with the initial master file supplied on CD-ROM or by FTP.
