The Society has commenced the implementation of TietoEnator's package solution, the Mortgage and Savings Suite, a solution widely used in the building society sector.

The flexible system will allow Bath Building Society to offer a faster, more efficient service, which will enable them to provide their customers with an Agreement In Principle much sooner than they are currently able to.

The TietoEnator system supports all mortgage and savings products in the UK market, and has the flexibility to make it easier and faster for the Society when launching new products. The system also allows for the automation of a number of previously manual processes and supports all types of transactions, ensuring customers will benefit from a more efficient service whilst the Society will gain more control over its own performance.

Dick Jenkins, Chief Executive of Bath Building Society commented, "We wanted a system that was quick, effective and easy to maintain and TietoEnator's Mortgages and Savings Suite fitted our requirements perfectly. Product flexibility is the cornerstone of our very distinctive mortgage proposition to the point where we will frequently make a product for a single customer. TietoEnator's solution supports that positioning well, with the scope to cope with business and product growth. Streamlining fact finding and automating many processes around the underwriting decision will have a significant effect, improving our customer experience and saving time in the branch."
