Chief minister inaugurates SunTec knowledge centre

Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala, Shri V S Achuthanandan inaugurated SunTec Business Solutions’ Knowledge Centre at Trivandrum on Friday.

Managing Director and CEO of SunTec, Nanda Kumar, presided over the function.

The state-of-the art facility is dedicated to impart knowledge to employees on SunTec's extensive array of product suite and client implementations. The Centre will also be engaged in imparting product knowledge to SunTec's clients and partners.

Inaugurating the Knowledge Centre, Shri V S Achuthanandan said, "This is indeed a great effort to match the ever-growing demands of the knowledge-based business, with a solid base of information. The launch of this Knowledge Centre is sure to catapult SunTec to limelight of the IT industry, on a global scale. I also wish the company all luck to conquer several more milestones in its journey towards the leader's slot in the software arena in India and in the world."

The Mayor of Trivandrum, Shri C Jayan Babu and Member of Parliament Shri Pannyan Raveendran were among the other dignitaries who attended the inaugural function. Shri Babu said, "SunTec's Knowledge Centre will set up a platform for Trivandrum to grow as a Knowledge City. This will prove to be an exciting phase for the city in the Information Technology arena." Shri Pannyan Raveendran, in his speech, said, "It is a moment of personal pride for me as SunTec has set this Knowledge Centre in Trivandrum, my constituency. I take this opportunity to assure all my support on behalf of the Govt. of India for all future endeavors of SunTec."

Employee learning will commence within a day at the new facility, with around 100 employees attending a three-month-long program. After completing the training, they will support SunTec products in the Financial and Telecom services industries across the globe. The Knowledge Centre will be staffed by people drawn from various sectors of IT with varied experience in development, implementation and training.
