MSCI Barra, a leading provider of benchmark indices and risk management analytics products, has further strengthened its research capability by hiring Jose Menchero as a Senior Researcher and Executive Director to focus on factor modeling.
Jose is based in Berkeley, California. Jose joins MSCI Barra from Thomson Financial where he was Head of Quantitative Research responsible for the construction of the Thomson Multi-factor Global Equity Risk Model. He is a well-known academic who has published various articles. Jose serves on the Advisory Board of the Journal of Performance Management, and he was previously Professor of Physics at the University of Rio de Janeiro.
