CommSecure names Richard Shaw CFO and company secretary

CommSecure (ASX:CMS), a leading provider of secure e-commerce solutions for corporate, government and financial institutions, today announced the appointment of Richard Shaw as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary.

A proven performer in the information technology market who has served as CFO of high volume transactional organisations like OzEmail Internet, PocketMail and TMP Worldwide, Mr Shaw will take over responsibility for CommSecure's financial operations, effective immediately.

CommSecure's chief executive officer, Peter Townsley, said Mr Shaw brings a wealth of financial and operational experience that will help the company to extend its leadership in the Electronic Billing and Transaction Processing market.

"This is a very strategic appointment for CommSecure and one which we believe will add real value for the company moving forward," he said.

"Richard is an outstanding professional with an impressive track record in helping companies to reduce their operating costs, improve profitability, integrate acquisitions and successfully restructure parts of their organisation.

Mr Shaw is a Certified Practising Accountant and holds an MBA from the University of Technology, Sydney.
