This office along with Trintech's other sales offices in Ireland and the Netherlands will provide the foundation for the development and expansion of European operations.
Trintech's reconciliation software solutions provide accounting compliance and risk management capabilities to European clients such as O2, Lloyds TSB Asset Finance Division, Reuters Shared Services, Foot Locker, Calor Gas, and Accounting Plaza. Trintech's ReconNET and AssureNET GL are used by over 450 of the world's leading companies.
Tony Bethell will be leading the EMEA operation; bolstering existing client relationships and extending the company's reach in the financial reconciliation and compliance space. The recent introduction of Trintech's AssureNET GL, a general ledger reconciliation and certification software solution, into the European marketplace has produced wide interest in Trintech's industry expertise and product offerings. For the first time, CFOs and Financial Controllers can see a solution providing a compliance framework enabling a "fast close," while ensuring that all GL accounts have been reconciled and reviewed.
"Trintech is ideally positioned to meet emerging market needs, and I'm excited by the level of response we are already seeing from our clients and prospects," said Bethell. "In addition, we are in discussion with a number of system integrators and business partners. Our goal is to broaden Trintech's reach - offer solutions on a broader spectrum, vertically and geographically."
Bethell joins Trintech after working in the Business Intelligence sector for both Alterian and MicroStrategy. Prior to that Bethell held senior positions at Saville Systems (Telco Billing & Customer Care) and SSA (ERP).
"Trintech's decision to open the new UK office and hire Tony reflects our commitment to expanding services in the European marketplace," said John Harte, EVP and General Manager for Trintech. "We're delighted to have Tony lead the EMEA group. His track record of developing and launching new businesses makes him an ideal addition to our organization."
