Under the three-year agreement, AT&T will implement an MPLS-based Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution as well as Managed Internet Service at the company's multiple locations, providing increased bandwidth and always-available Internet and establishing a converged, Internet Protocol (IP)-based network.
The VPN will allow Resource One to prioritize data for greater network efficiency. In addition, the increased bandwidth will allow the company to adopt Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology for improved voice management and overall customer service.
"We needed a solution that would allow us the flexibility to prioritize our data while providing expanded bandwidth to support advanced voice applications," said Mark Gregory, chief information officer of Resource One Credit Union. "The services provided by AT&T will help us attain the highest levels of network efficiency and will free up resources, allowing us to continue to focus on the most important aspect of our business: our members."
