Peter-Alexander Wacker joined Wacker's Executive Board in 1996. In 2001, he became President and CEO of the Executive Board, retaining this position when the company reorganized as a joint stock corporation in November 2005.
Since taking the helm, Peter-Alexander Wacker has successfully reshaped the family-run firm into a fast-growing, highly profitable multinational chemicals company. In 2005, Wacker Chemie AG's 14,400 employees generated EUR 2.8 billion in sales.
As a member of the 8-strong G&D Advisory Board, Peter-Alexander Wacker will contribute his extensive experience gained at a likewise family-operated international technology group. Paul Johnson, ex-shareholder Claudia Miller's representative on the Advisory Board, stepped down in December 2006. Claudia Miller's shares in Giesecke & Devrient GmbH were recently transferred to the Mitschke-Collande family.
