Robert J Philbin has been named president of Tsys Acquiring Solutions effective immediately.
Mr Philbin has served as interim president since August 2006, following the retirement of Bev Wells.
Mr Philbin will be responsible for the entire acquiring enterprise, and will report to M Troy Woods, president and chief operating officer of Tsys.
"Bob's leadership during this transitional period has demonstrated he is the right person for this role," Mr Woods says. "He has shown a heartfelt passion for this business, our clients and its team members."
Mr Philbin joined the Tsys Acquiring Solutions team as chief financial officer in 2004. Before joining Tsys, Mr Philbin had more than 20 years of experience in accounting and financial management positions in the payments industry, including service in key foreign markets.
