BondDesk appoints five new directors to the board

BondDesk Group, the largest electronic marketplace for retail fixed income trading in the US, announced today five new directors who will serve on the company board of directors following the recent majority stake investment made by Advent International, a private equity firm.

The new directors are Alex Goor, Co-President of Instinet, Colin Heffron, President and Director of GFI Group, Peter Crosbie, former President and Chief Executive Officer of KMV, a division of Moody's, Chris Egan, Principal at Advent International and Chris Pike, Partner at Advent International. They join Rob Slaymaker, Chief Executive Officer of BondDesk Group, to form the board of directors.

"This board is comprised of experienced senior executives with visibly successful track records in the fixed income, brokerage, electronic trading and private equity worlds. Alex Goor is Co-President of Instinet with responsibility for North America. Previously he was president of Inet ATS, Instinet Group's electronic marketplace subsidiary established in November 2003. Prior to that he was Executive Vice President for Strategy and Planning for Instinet, where he was responsible for long-term strategic planning and supervising the merger between Instinet, and Island Holding Company. Before joining Instinet, Alex was the Chief Strategy Officer of Datek Online Holdings Corporation (DOHC), where he supervised all corporate finance and business development efforts.

Colin Heffron, President and Director of GFI Group, is responsible for the brokerage, data and analytics businesses. Colin also served as the head of operations in Europe and joint-head of Asian operations. Colin joined GFI in 1988 as a broker of foreign currency options in New York and later moved to London, where he headed the currency options business.

Peter Crosbie, a financial technology entrepreneur, led Moody's KMV during its first year of operations. Peter joined KMV as a partner in 1994 and held a variety of responsibilities in client services, product development and research. He was appointed President and COO of KMV in 2000 and CEO in 2002. Following the acquisition of KMV by Moody's in 2002, he was named President and CEO of Moody's KMV.

Chris Egan is a principal at Advent International, a leading global private equity firm. Chris specializes in financial services, and has participated in a number of Advent's investments, including Datek Online Holdings, The Island ECN, GFI Group, National Bankruptcy Services and RedPrairie Corp. Starting at Advent in 2000, he was formerly with UBS Warburg advising leveraged buyout firms.

Chris Pike, Partner at Advent International, also specializes in financial services, and has participated in a number of investments for Advent, including Contact East, Datek Online Holdings, The Island ECN, GFI Group, Long Term Care Group, Managed Healthcare Associates, RedPrairie Corp. and Americus Dental Labs. With Advent since 1997, Chris was formerly with Coopers & Lybrand involved with M&A services.
