The super-fast price feed is primarily designed to meet the needs of the increasingly important algorithmic or 'black box' traders. Actant was able to provide the connectivity to the service on AQTOR from day one of its introduction in late December.

'CEF ultra' distribution operates at throughput times of less than one millisecond. At present more than 16,500 items of data are transmitted every second. It is therefore particularly important for actant's mass-quote option market makers and liquidity providers.

AQTOR's new high-speed Price Feed handler is an optional add-on, meaning that users have the choice of whether to deploy it or not. AQTOR can continue to receive market data from the existing Eurex "MISS" feed.

Commenting on the introduction, Urs Rutschmann, CEO, actant, said, "This is an extremely important system upgrade for Eurex and as it will provide an impressively fast and clean trading system for high frequency and algorithmic traders and market makers. Actant was there on Day One and able to provide our customers with a smooth transfer into this facility."
